A Green Power Tip

Unplug your cell phone charger when you're not charging your phone.

Only 5% of the power drawn by cell phone chargers actually charges the phones.

The other 95% is wasted.

Save power – save $$.

Green Spring Cleaning

The first day of Spring 2010, my wife and I found ourselves doing an impromptu "Green" clean up mission.

We took a small hike through the nearby woods, and began to pick up trash.

We wanted to do this after the winds of winter and others, who may not care for the environment, had scattered litter on the hillside.

Within 30 minutes of our mission, we picked up bottles, plastic bags, golf balls and other landsite undesirables.

The benefit that we got out of the mission was some sun and exercise.

We looked back at the spot where we hiked and the ground almost looked relieved and seemed to say "thanks."

We need to learn to take care of this beautiful world that God has given us to be stewards of – it is indeed a very beautiful place to live.

Please keep checking on the 'Green Energy Initiatives' website for Solar LED products that fits your pocket book.

Go Green! Go Solar!

Solar Streetlights Make 'Sense (and save dollars)!

Installation of Solar Streetlight Systems is a great way for communities, shopping centers, school parking lots and highways areas to utilize 'green technology' solar lighting systems that will save money on maintenance and power over time.

Most Solar Streetlights are installed with Long-Life LED type lights which promises a life expectancy of over 8 years and a low maintenance battery system that is maintenance free for up to 5 years.

GEI LLC offers a feasibility cost analysis for changing out AC powered Streetlights to Solar Powered Streetlights. GEI can specify, arrange purchasing and installation of various models of 'Solar Streetlight Systems' that will benefit the customer's needs.

The best thing is, once the solar lights are up, there is NO POWER COST to the local utility companies. This in itself will save money.

Consider a feasibility cost analysis from GEI in the future. Call (724) 695-2954
